Ministries” refers to the various ministries of the Seventh-day Adventist Church, which cover a wide range of areas including education, health, family life, disaster relief through ADRA, and media evangelism. The church operates a global network of schools and hospitals, supports families and communities through its dedicated departments, and uses various platforms like radio, television, and online resources to share its message. 

  • Ministerial Association: Supports pastors, their families, local church elders, and leaders through resources and training.
  • Family Ministries: Provides resources and guidance for strengthening marriages, parenting, and family relationships within the church and community.
  • Uniform Ministries: “Uniform ministries” refers to organized religious programs or services where members wear specific uniforms, such as the AdventurersPathfinders  and Master Guides clubs for youth. The uniform serves to create a sense of unity, represent the organization’s ideals and standards, promote discipline, and identify members to the public. 
  • Youth Ministries: Supports the spiritual, moral, and physical development of youth and young adults through programs like Pathfinders, Adventurers, and camp ministries.
  • Women’s Ministries: Exists to encourage, challenge, and support Adventist women in their Christian journey.
  • Health Ministries: Promotes the church’s belief in holistic well-being, emphasizing physical, mental, and spiritual health.
  • Public Affairs and Religious Liberty (PARL): Advocates for religious freedom for all people and builds bridges of understanding across different faith communities.
  • Stewardship Department: Focuses on integrating the gospel into the Christian lifestyle, emphasizing generosity and a right relationship with God. 

Mission

The overall mission of SDA ministries is to help people everywhere understand the Bible to find freedom, healing, and hope in Jesus Christ and to prepare them for His soon return. This mission is carried out through holistic service that addresses the physical, mental, social, and spiritual needs of individuals.

ADRA Canada is In more than 100 countries they provide water, sanitation, health, food, education, and income opportunities so that all may live as God intended. They are the official humanitarian agency of the Seventh-day Adventist Church. Since 1985, they have strived to serve humanity, end extreme poverty, and deliver emergency relief..
